This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
β’ Take charge of the AI capability roadmap as a platform spanning edge and cloud, prioritized for cross-team leverage.
β’ Deploy existing models into production rapidly and steer long-term research initiatives.
β’ Specify how AI should be utilized, encompassing outputs, confidence levels, latency, and accuracy expectations.
β’ Set model-readiness criteria from the research phase through shadow deployment to production.
β’ Manage field performance metrics, including precision, recall, and drift within live environments.
β’ Create a feedback mechanism with clinical reviewers to enhance models and minimize review time per event.
β’ Identify early-learning milestones for 6β12 month research initiatives and prioritize data aspects such as curation, edge cases, and labeling.
β’ Monitor emerging AI methodologies and integrate suitable advancements into SafelyYou's capabilities.
β’ Collaborate with the Hardware & Sensing team on new sensing techniques, ensuring models can extract necessary data while they handle modality selection and cost considerations.
β’ Oversee readiness, quality, cost, leverage, and decisions regarding research continuation or cessation.
β’ 7+ years of experience in product management.
β’ 3+ years of experience leading machine learning or computer vision products that have been brought to production and operated at scale.
β’ Proficient in contemporary AI/ML, including computer vision, multimodal and vision-language models, and their evaluation.
β’ Established credibility with researchers and ML engineers.
β’ Familiarity with advanced AI techniques, such as foundation models, vision-language models, agentic systems, and efficient on-device models.
β’ A well-defined perspective on the applicability of new AI techniques in care settings.
β’ Experience in deploying models under real-world constraints, including on-device computation and balancing latency with accuracy.
β’ Evidence-based approach: designing evaluations, conducting shadow deployments, and balancing exploratory research with commercial obligations.
β’ Strongly preferred: experience with human-in-the-loop systems, non-optical sensing, or safety-critical AI in healthcare.
β’ Must be based in the United States or Canada.
