Lead Product Manager – Ad Formats

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the product strategy and roadmap for advertising formats and placements on Yelp's primary platforms.

• Define and experiment with new ad formats and layouts, tailoring them based on business type, context, and user intent.

• Lead the integration of advertising into Yelp Assistant, the AI-driven chat interface of Yelp.

• Improve the user experience and design of ad units to enhance relevance, performance, and overall consumer satisfaction.

• Work in partnership with Data Science to create experiments, establish success metrics, and analyze outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with Engineering, Design, Search Product, and Ads teams to implement changes on Yelp's most visited surfaces.

• Engage with the Ads Auction and Ranking teams to grasp the interactions between format choices, targeting, and delivery mechanisms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Product Manager in the fields of advertising, monetization, or search.

• Comprehensive understanding of how ad formats, placements, and ad systems integrate and function together.

• Demonstrated success in increasing revenue and translating consumer and business requirements into tangible features.

• Proficient in dissecting complex, unstructured challenges into features from idea to execution.

• Skilled in synthesizing and conveying information between both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Background in addressing technically challenging advertising and product-related issues.

• Ability to collaborate across diverse teams, functions, and product dimensions.

• Experience in enhancing ad system reliability and tracking performance metrics.
