Lead Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and lead the product design vision for Cycloid, ensuring alignment with product strategy and company objectives.

• Develop new product features comprehensively, from discovery and user flows to prototypes, high-fidelity UI, and continuous enhancements.

• Direct design decisions on intricate, technical subjects such as platform UX, permissions, workflows, configuration, and lifecycle management.

• Work in close collaboration with product managers, frontend, backend, and DevOps teams to establish requirements, challenge solutions, and validate designs.

• Maintain consistency, scalability, and quality across the product through design systems and shared patterns.

• Collaborate closely with another product designer in the team through regular feedback, design reviews, and daily collaboration, ensuring alignment with your vision.

• Partner with frontend engineers to convert designs into high-quality Vue.js implementations, and when necessary, implement visual or interaction changes personally.

• Provide clear weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly retrospectives and reports to the Founder.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in product design, including a lead or senior ownership role for over 10 years.

• Demonstrated ability to establish a team from the ground up and scale it to 5 designers; currently, there is 1 designer on the team.

• Proven capability to implement best practices.

• Strong history of designing complex digital products, preferably developer tools, platforms, or technical SaaS.

• Exceptional skills in interaction design, UX architecture, and visual/UI design.

• Solid understanding of frontend fundamentals such as HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript, with the ability to read and interpret code.

• Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams and influencing product decisions.

• Ability to clearly articulate design rationale, trade-offs, and decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
