This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee the design process throughout the entire product lifecycle, from identifying problems and exploring concepts to final delivery and ongoing iterations.
• Utilize design to investigate and define solutions, rather than merely executing pre-established requirements.
• Simplify complex behavioral and scientific ideas into intuitive app experiences.
• Integrate user needs, business objectives, and technical limitations to formulate the best solutions.
• Design for both iOS and Android platforms, while demonstrating a robust understanding of platform conventions, patterns, and interaction models.
• Develop thoughtful, responsive, and refined mobile experiences, paying close attention to motion, feedback, and intricate details.
• Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure the implementation of high-quality designs.
• Exhibit strong visual and interaction design skills: layout, hierarchy, typography, and micro-interactions.
• Lead by example, setting standards through your own work.
• Engage in design critiques, pair work, and team discussions to elevate the overall quality of the team’s output.
• Work in partnership with Product and Engineering teams to define challenges and guide direction.
• Play a role in shaping product strategy and decision-making, beyond just design execution.
• Maintain a portfolio that showcases strong end-to-end product design work on native applications, demonstrating clear impact.
• Bring exceptional quality in UI and interaction design.
• Have a track record of designing and launching B2C mobile app experiences (iOS and/or Android).
• Be comfortable working from initial concepts to detailed execution.
• Utilize design as a means of problem-solving, rather than solely a delivery function.
• Structure work around user and business challenges, rather than just features or screens.
• Be at ease with ambiguity and capable of creating clarity through exploration.
• Approach design with an understanding of flows, systems, and behaviors, rather than focusing solely on individual screens.
• Prioritize outcomes and impact over mere output.
• Be a creator first — lead through action.
• Engage with meaningful challenges that have a tangible impact on individuals' health.
• Work at the crossroads of science, product development, and growth.
• Influence critical revenue and member journeys during a crucial growth phase.
