Lead Product Designer, AI Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create the interface that defines its personality, goals, and how it handles objections.

• Develop Piper's real-time presence, including the chat and video experience where the AI acts as the representative.

• Focus on understanding leads, devising a strategy, and articulating the rationale behind it.

• Prototype using code or AI tools, rather than relying solely on Figma.

• Implement design decisions actively, rather than just documenting them.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of product design experience, with a minimum of 2 years focused on AI or conversational interfaces.

• A solid understanding of LLM behavior (latency, streaming, confidence, failure modes) and an honest approach to design for it.

• Proficient in using AI tools as a fundamental aspect of your work rather than as a trial.

• Strong skills in visual and interaction design; you have an eye for aesthetics.

• Able to work without a detailed brief; you collaboratively define the problem along with the solution.

• Collaborates directly with engineering and machine learning teams; no culture of handoffs here.

• Nice to have: Background in designing for voice, video, or real-time communication.

• Familiar with enterprise sales or CRM processes.

• Experience in creating multi-step autonomous workflows.
