This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for our cloud platform and infrastructure.
• Design, implement, and sustain scalable cloud infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code.
• Spearhead the design and ongoing enhancement of our CI/CD platform and deployment automation.
• Create self-service tools that empower engineers to provision, deploy, and manage services autonomously.
• Enhance platform reliability, disaster recovery preparedness, observability, and cloud cost effectiveness.
• Establish engineering standards, best practices, and reusable platform patterns.
• Mentor engineers through architecture evaluations, code reviews, technical support, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Lead intricate technical projects from research and planning to production deployment.
• Collaborate closely with Software Engineering, Security, and Operations teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
• Engage in incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term platform enhancements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Over 2 years of experience in technical leadership.
• More than 10 years of pertinent engineering experience.
• In-depth knowledge of designing and managing cloud infrastructure within the Google Cloud Platform.
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes and containerized microservices in production settings.
• Strong proficiency in designing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Experience in building and maintaining enterprise-level CI/CD platforms and deployment pipelines.
• Familiarity with networking, security, IAM, secret management, and cloud architecture principles.
• Strong comprehension of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Capable of writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested automation and infrastructure code.
• Utilizes metrics and operational data to inform engineering decisions and prioritize tasks.
• Takes responsibility for your own work and the long-term wellbeing of the platform.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Run, Terraform, Helm, VPC Networking, Cloud SQL, and Atlas.
• Knowledge of platform and automation tools such as Harness, Cloud Build, Docker, Vault, and GitHub.
• Familiarity with observability tools like Google Cloud Monitoring (Stackdriver) and New Relic.
• Experience in disaster recovery, high availability, performance optimization, infrastructure security, secure software delivery, and/or cost optimization in cloud environments is highly desirable.
