This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latvia.
• Serve as a genuine subject matter expert for the country.
• Maintain and nurture existing relationships with key stakeholders in Payroll Implementation, Finance, Product, and Engineering.
• Oversee the complete in-house payroll process, including statutory filing requirements, handling exceptions, approvals, payments, and ensuring compliance.
• Guarantee full data integrity and quality.
• Manage payroll journals and reconciliations.
• Emphasize key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Implement and enhance processes continuously.
• Guide and support payroll specialists through mentorship.
• Provide backup for regional managers during their absence.
• Experience in end-to-end payroll processing, either in-house or with a payroll service provider.
• Familiarity with payroll best practices.
• Proficient in software applications such as Excel and Google Suite.
• Possess an analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international work environment while being passionate about making a difference.
• A productivity enthusiast who continually seeks ways to enhance and expedite their workflow.
• Understands the necessity and ideal of largely asynchronous work.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
