This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Oversee the daily operations of the Payments team and serve as the main point of contact for all operational inquiries.
• Supervise payment flows to guarantee the prompt and precise execution of payments, including those that are high-priority and critical.
• Ensure operational performance, compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), and the quality of payment processing throughout the function.
• Organize workload distribution, prioritize tasks, and manage operational coordination within the team.
• Evaluate payment routes and assist in selecting the most effective payment solutions and legal entities for transaction execution.
• Take ownership of operational reporting, which includes tracking payment volumes, processing quality, error rates, and team performance metrics.
• Collaborate with banks, payment providers, and internal stakeholders to address operational challenges and ensure business continuity.
• Lead incident management efforts, including managing escalations, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing corrective measures.
• Maintain operational documentation, knowledge bases, and onboarding procedures for the team.
• Ensure team preparedness through cross-training, succession planning, and effective management of operational coverage.
• Conduct regular reconciliations across payment systems, accounting records, and merchant reports to guarantee operational accuracy and data consistency.
• Propel process enhancements through automation, workflow optimization, and the upkeep of operational documentation and knowledge bases.
• Engage directly with operational systems and reporting tools to oversee performance, investigate discrepancies, and resolve operational challenges.
• Demonstrated experience in leading a payments operations, treasury operations, financial operations, or a similar team.
• In-depth knowledge of payment operations, banking procedures, and operational risk management.
• Experience in managing operational KPIs, reporting, and service quality benchmarks.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
• Capability to make informed decisions, prioritize tasks efficiently, and manage multiple operational streams concurrently.
• Hands-on approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Practical experience with reconciliations, operational controls, and investigations into payment discrepancies.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting systems (1C or similar) and reporting tools like Tableau.
• Robust operational mindset with the ability to balance people management with hands-on execution.
