
Lead Outage Services Technical Director – Refuel Floor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee both union and non-union personnel engaged in BWR Refuel Floor outage maintenance tasks.
• Lead project delivery planning with a focus on thoroughness and organization.
• Manage transition planning, identify risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and create contingency plans.
• Lead and mentor diverse, multi-disciplinary teams that include GEH personnel and contingent workers, as well as craft labor.
• Contribute technical insights on labor quantities, hours, tooling, and logistics to aid in the creation of commercial proposals.
• Build effective relationships and engage with senior customer and supplier management regarding commercial, execution, technical, and compliance matters.
• Assist with Product Line initiatives, including proposal development, product growth strategies, and training development and delivery as required by business needs.
• Act as an instructor for technical training courses in San Jose, CA, and Wilmington, NC.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on reactor maintenance operations, in-vessel tooling, and GEH OEM equipment.
• Uphold GE Beliefs, demonstrating integrity, nuclear safety, and a commitment to quality culture.
• Provide leadership to ensure the production of high-quality deliverables that meet customer expectations, business protocols, and regulatory standards.
• Promote the implementation of standard GEH (GEH it achieve) processes across projects and ensure adherence to procedures.
• Undertake additional assignments as business needs arise.
• Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in BWR Refuel Floor Outage Maintenance activities.
• Alternatively, a High School Diploma coupled with at least 10 years of experience in BWR Refuel Floor Outage Maintenance activities.
• Prior experience as a Refuel Floor Technical Director or an equivalent role supporting Refuel Outage maintenance operations.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% both domestically and internationally.
• Capacity and readiness to assist with off-season projects, including Spent Fuel Pool cleanup and Dry Cask storage efforts.
• Ability and willingness to teach GEH Technical Training courses.
• Capability and readiness to meet Fitness for Duty and site security requirements to secure unescorted access at domestic and international sites.
• Willingness to participate in additional GEH training and certification programs to enhance your skills and support cross-functional initiatives.
• Ability and readiness to work in radiation-controlled and radioactively contaminated environments.
• Willingness to work 12 hours a day for seven days a week when delivering field projects.
• Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to ascend ten flights of stairs twice daily.
• Capability to successfully pass a respirator fit test and physical examination.
