This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.
• Design and oversee intricate network solutions across data centers, remote locations, and hybrid cloud settings.
• Collaborate with AWS, GCP, advanced firewall, routing, switching, VPN, and BGP technologies.
• Implement sophisticated infrastructure-as-code methodologies, incorporating remote state, modules, and workspaces.
• Develop automation and infrastructure-as-code strategies for FortiGate, Aruba, and Juniper platforms.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production issues.
• Guide and mentor engineers within the team.
• Influence the technical roadmap and engineering strategy of the team.
• Engage in the on-call rotation and provide senior-level support for critical outages.
• Ensure the health, performance, and security of global hybrid infrastructure utilizing observability tools such as Datadog.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
• Minimum of 5 years of network administration experience involving routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and related protocols.
• At least 3 years of experience in cloud networking across AWS, GCP, and hybrid data center connectivity.
• Demonstrated ability to design, construct, and scale intricate network infrastructures.
• Experience in mentoring engineers, leading change and design reviews, and making significant technical decisions across cross-functional teams.
• Practical experience with Aruba switching and FortiGate firewalls.
• Comprehensive understanding of BGP, routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code, Git-based workflows (GitOps), and advanced scripting in Python and Bash.
• Proficient in using monitoring tools such as Datadog.
• Awareness of AI-assisted engineering tools, including Claude, Codex, and Gemini.
• Strong skills in communication, collaboration, mentoring, analysis, and problem-solving.
• May need to obtain a gaming license issued by the appropriate state agency as a condition of employment.
• Guidance and support for obtaining a gaming license if required for the position.
