This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create, develop, and evaluate materials for various project types and audiences, such as slide presentations, video scripts, leave-behind documents, website content, manuscripts, congress publications, scientific communication platforms, gap analyses, meeting summaries, and reports.
• Produce thoroughly researched, technically sound, well-crafted, client-ready outputs that align with client goals.
• Ensure the scientific accuracy, referencing, audience suitability, and timely delivery of work produced by junior team members while adhering to budget constraints.
• Offer constructive feedback, coaching, and mentorship to junior writers.
• Analyze client briefs, pose informed questions, and clearly communicate requirements to the team.
• Oversee client review and approval processes using systems such as Veeva and DataVision, ensuring adherence to industry regulations.
• Organize and manage medical conference events and meetings, including symposia, advisory boards, investigator meetings, and workshops, with on-site management responsibilities.
• Cultivate knowledge in specific therapy areas and share insights on industry trends and scientific advancements.
• Facilitate client meetings, briefing calls, and discussions with healthcare professionals or subject matter experts.
• Build and maintain client relationships, provide strategic advice, and assist in shaping client strategy.
• Plan account team workloads and communicate account activities and resource requirements to senior team members.
• Oversee and delegate small to medium-sized projects from initiation to completion.
• Participate in new business proposals.
• Evaluate timelines, budgets, hours, and scientific resource requirements.
• Manage account finances, monitor hours, deliver projects within budget and deadlines, and ensure timely completion of timesheets.
• Supervise 1–2 direct reports, providing feedback, guidance, mentorship, and quality oversight.
• Advanced degree in a relevant field (Ph.D., M.D., PharmD, etc.).
• 4–6 years of experience in medical writing within Medical Communications.
• Exceptional scientific and editorial skills.
• Proven experience in establishing strong relationships with clients and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to critically assess deliverables for scientific accuracy and integrity.
• Experience in mentoring and coaching junior writers.
