Lead Mechanical Specialist – Construction Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee piping and mechanical equipment, including turbines, boilers, pumps, and various components of power plants.

• Lead troubleshooting and diagnostic initiatives to swiftly identify and resolve intricate mechanical problems, utilizing technical expertise and problem-solving abilities.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, comprising engineering, operations, and safety departments, to strategize and carry out maintenance tasks, ensuring minimal downtime and peak plant performance.

• Formulate, implement, and uphold safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment, emphasizing employee safety and compliance with industry standards.

• Observe equipment performance and efficiency, suggesting and supervising the execution of enhancements, upgrades, and modifications as required to boost operational reliability and efficiency.

• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, equipment conditions, and performance metrics for compliance, reporting, and ongoing improvement purposes.

• Offer technical leadership, support, and guidance to plant operators, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders, promoting a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning.

• Verify that the progress and work output align with drawings, specifications, and contractual obligations.

• Identify any discrepancies or alterations in the work placement.

• Monitor work progress and highlight significant activity developments in daily reports.

• Assist our partners and project stakeholders by communicating proactively when challenges arise and devising innovative solutions to project issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 12 years of experience in mechanical operations and maintenance in the power generation sector, demonstrating a strong record of leadership and management.

• In-depth technical knowledge and expertise in power plant piping and equipment systems, including turbines, boilers, pumps, and auxiliary systems.

• Skilled in advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic methods for mechanical systems, along with a strategic mindset and analytical skills.

• Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices pertaining to power plant operations, maintenance, and safety.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to lead, motivate, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Readiness to travel and work in various locations throughout the United States as needed.
