Lead Installer, Telecommunications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Deliver thorough installation, reconfiguration/integration, removal, and upkeep of Central Office and Data Center equipment with minimal supervision.

• Oversee the performance of assigned crew members.

• Must have achieved mastery of all installation skills according to Telco Standard TP76300 and be capable of executing all duties of Installer Level 4 with a high level of proficiency and accuracy as a Working Lead with designated team members.

• Possess advanced skills in comprehensive equipment installation across a range of installations and systems, including AC/DC Power systems, low/high-density fiber systems, and supervisory/alarm systems.

• Have knowledge and experience with transport equipment such as Ciena, Fujitsu, Cisco, Nortel, Nokia, DELL, Juniper, etc.

• Adhere to system update requirements for all company/customer installation documentation.

• Conduct in-process and final quality audits to ensure compliance with industry and/or customer standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 8+ years of installation experience or a combination of experience and training as determined by company management.

• High school diploma with two years of technical school or a blend of training and experience in the communications installation field totaling eight or more years.

• Ability to utilize common sense reasoning to follow instructions presented in written, oral, or diagram form.

• Proficient laptop computer skills and experience with relevant applications are required.

• Must be capable of fully understanding all company/customer policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) is necessary.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to pass all pre-employment background checks, and must be insurable. A valid passport is a plus.
