Lead Information Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and implement security measures for enterprise environments, including infrastructure, cloud platforms, endpoints, networks, and enterprise systems.

• Act as a technical expert for enterprise security technologies such as network security, endpoint protection, identity and access management (IAM), data protection, and cloud security.

• Create and uphold security standards, hardening guidelines, and best practices relevant to enterprise systems and platforms.

• Offer security advice and conduct technical reviews for new systems, cloud services, infrastructure modifications, and enterprise technology projects.

• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, DevOps, and Application teams to embed security best practices within enterprise platforms and operational procedures.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Information Security Engineers while fostering engineering best practices.

• Manage and support enterprise security platforms, including setting configuration standards, performing upgrades, facilitating integrations, fine-tuning, and ensuring operational health.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline is preferred.

• 5 to 8 years of experience in information security, cybersecurity engineering, or roles focused on enterprise security infrastructure.

• Proven experience in leading security engineering projects within enterprise settings.

• Possession of industry-recognized security or cloud certifications (SANS, ISC², AWS, Azure, or equivalent) is preferred.

• Familiarity with regulated environments and frameworks such as SOX, GLBA, FFIEC, and CIS Controls is essential.

• Experience in supporting and securing enterprise infrastructure across on-premises, cloud (AWS and Azure), and hybrid environments.
