Lead GIS Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee the implementation of all GIS service operations at client locations.

• Ensure safe, efficient service delivery while prioritizing environmental protection in all operations.

• Maintain the quality and integrity of all GIS installation, maintenance, and repair tasks.

• Manage non-conformities (NCPs) and ensure prompt resolution.

• Serve as the primary liaison between the GIS product unit, service teams, and clients.

• Coordinate daily field resources to enhance the success of projects.

• Generate clear and timely reports regarding project progress and engineering challenges.

• Conduct site visits for investigations to evaluate equipment conditions and failures.

• Assist in contractor evaluations and performance assessments.

• Plan and execute work in line with agreed-upon schedules.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior practical experience in GIS.

• Authorized to operate GEV equipment (T155, F35, B105).

• Strong expertise in the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of high voltage plants.

• Solid engineering foundation (C&G/ONC/HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering).

• IOSH Managing Safely and SSSTS certifications.

• Comprehensive understanding of CDM regulations and responsibilities associated with site leadership.

• Demonstrated ability to lead field teams and manage subcontractors and apprentices.

• Proficient in constructing substation primary plants, secondary wiring, and conducting investigative site work.

• Capable of diagnosing equipment conditions and failures.

• Willingness to travel throughout the UK and internationally, often on short notice, with a valid passport and driving license.

• Possesses (or can obtain) MoD security clearance.
