This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Serve as a hands-on technical leader for a team of 3-5 web engineers, directing the design and development of consumer-focused features, web architectures, backend APIs, and various technologies.

• Enhance and refine web feature capabilities to ensure they are successful, well-received by customers, and built with sound engineering principles for maintainability and scalability.

• Effectively manage complex technology roadmaps in collaboration with a distributed development team and our partners.

• Act as a reliable partner to your stakeholders, including your product manager, designers, company leadership, and external partners.

• Foster audience growth through seamless customer journeys by collaborating closely with service teams to design, build, and develop a cohesive customer experience—both online and in-store.

• Advocate for and implement healthy and efficient engineering practices within the team: conduct code reviews to maintain code and architecture quality, write and review software design documents, and promote effective test automation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience engineering substantial full-stack web codebases that are live in production, including ownership of large-scale systems.

• More than 7 years of hands-on experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frontend development and React, with in-depth expertise in state management, performance optimization, and component architecture.

• At least 5 years of experience in designing and delivering complex distributed systems, encompassing API design, microservices integration, and performance-critical architectures.

• Strong grounding in Computer Science and software engineering principles.

• Proficient in Internet web technologies and contemporary full-stack web application technology stacks.

• Familiarity with best practices in web DevOps and QA for effective and efficient testing.

• Experience with consumer internet applications is highly preferred.

• Availability to adjust the schedule for meetings with European counterparts (Eastern Time zone preferred).

• A strong appreciation for consumer experience and visual aesthetics is preferred.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, distributed engineering environment; startup experience is a plus.

• Advanced English proficiency is required for this position, as you will interact with US clients. Effective communication in English is crucial for delivering optimal solutions to our clients and broadening your professional horizons.
