This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on Astra II aircraft systems and related flight operations.
• Assist in planning infrastructure pertaining to training devices, facilities, and related systems.
• Work together with internal teams, contractors, and RCAF representatives to aid in the development and implementation of training programs.
• Support the design, creation, and evaluation of aviation training courseware, which includes classroom, simulator, and live-flight training materials.
• Examine module outlines, storyboards, lesson plans, and training resources to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with approved training plans.
• Aid in courseware acceptance testing, validation and verification (V&V), and regression testing processes.
• Contribute to the creation and integration of training devices, learning technologies, IT services, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Assist in establishing and ensuring the operational readiness of the training center through coordination with stakeholders and the development of policies and procedures.
• Evaluate training requirements, identify potential risks and opportunities, and provide informed recommendations.
• Support the design of flight training operations, ground-based training systems, and training device development when necessary.
• Recognize and communicate instances where the contracted scope and training requirements might need reassessment.
• A minimum of 10 years of flying experience.
• Experience in delivering aviation-related training.
• Willingness to travel within Canada as needed.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain Controlled Goods clearance and Reliability status.
• Capability to secure any necessary export/re-transfer authorizations in compliance with applicable ITAR regulations.
• Must have legal authorization to work in Canada.
• For candidates with previous military aviation experience: proven military flying experience.
• Technical education or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Experience with Grob 120TP aircraft operations or training is preferred.
