Lead Enterprise Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Serve as an advocate for the business within the IT department.

• Ensure that technology execution is in harmony with business strategies.

• Assist in the implementation of Humana's Technology Strategy in alignment with the corporate vision and segment business strategies.

• Participate in enterprise technology modernization initiatives alongside application teams and both business and IT stakeholders.

• Develop artifacts and conditions for demand management, delivery prioritization, capacity planning, and technology strategy roadmaps.

• Analyze and communicate best practices, innovations, technologies, and trends in the healthcare payer industry.

• Drive the adoption of the lean enterprise architecture practice within an agile delivery framework.

• Align and map the business vision and strategy to value streams, business capabilities, and functions.

• Document the current-state architecture, value streams, and domain capability models.

• Apply portfolio rationalization to uncover innovation opportunities while minimizing risk, complexity, and operating costs.

• Define and uphold technology strategies, intermediate architectures, and end-state architectures.

• Maintain and disseminate enterprise architecture principles, standards, policies, methodologies, documentation, and artifacts.

• Guide stakeholders through the architecture governance framework.

• Facilitate innovation and development of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms.

• Assess new technologies and platforms, establishing architecture standards.

• Provide thought leadership regarding technology decisions.

• Establish technical standards and ensure solutions align with the enterprise reference architecture.

• Prototype tools and technologies to assess design choices, enhance predictability, and mitigate risk.

• Choose and utilize cloud services, technologies, tools, methodologies, and solutions that align with the organizational strategy.

• Mentor and guide enterprise, solution, technology, and system architects.

• Report directly to the Director of Enterprise Architecture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Progressive experience as a senior architect or technical lead in large IT projects involving multiple enterprise systems.

• A minimum of 10 years of design, development, and testing experience with software applications.

• Expert knowledge of architecture patterns for enterprise integration, system decomposition, refactoring, and cloud migration.

• Experience with cloud-native architectures on at least one cloud platform provider in an enterprise setting.

• Proficient in highly available, fault-tolerant, and event-driven architectures at scale.

• Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture, technical strategy, and technology roadmaps.

• Experience with lean-agile delivery methodologies in an enterprise context.

• Knowledge of healthcare business domains, including Medicare, Medicaid, Group, and Specialty.

• Ability to work from a dedicated space free from ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information.

• Minimum internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload is required.

• Preferred: Master's Degree.

• Preferred: Associate or Professional level solution architecture certification in Azure, GCP, or AWS.

• Preferred: 1-3 years of experience in Cloud, AI technologies, or Enterprise Architecture.

• Preferred: 2+ years of project leadership and consulting experience.
