IT Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deploy, oversee, and maintain IT infrastructure along with cybersecurity tools.

• Discover automation possibilities through an AI-first approach and modern technologies.

• Engineer, deploy, and enhance enterprise infrastructure across on-premises systems, networking, AWS, Azure, and Microsoft 365.

• Create and uphold infrastructure automation utilizing IaC technologies like Terraform.

• Design and execute scalable, resilient infrastructure with a focus on availability, performance, security, and automation.

• Architect and manage Intune endpoint management, covering provisioning, configuration, application deployment, patching, compliance, and lifecycle automation.

• Broaden and operationalize the AI Center of Excellence through automation, machine learning, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) projects.

• Assess emerging infrastructure and AI technologies and develop proof-of-concept solutions.

• Enhance security architecture and technical controls for endpoints, identity, networks, and SaaS applications in alignment with CIS, NIST CSF, or SOC 2 frameworks.

• Conduct security assessments, perform threat risk analysis, and formulate remediation strategies.

• Lead Security Awareness Training initiatives.

• Implement and sustain Zero Trust security measures.

• Engineer security automation and monitoring for detection, response, compliance, and visibility.

• Develop security baselines, configuration standards, and control validation processes.

• Optimize the SaaS ecosystem, covering integrations, provisioning, SSO, identity, lifecycle management, and access governance.

• Automate IT processes, workflows, and self-service functionalities.

• Collaborate with vendors to coordinate device repairs and maintenance.

• Implement SSO and automated identity provisioning utilizing Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, and OIDC.

• Engineer HelpDesk and IT service workflows.

• Provide L1/L2 technical support as required.

• Diagnose complex infrastructure and endpoint issues, implementing permanent corrective actions.

• Support telephony and VoIP platforms, including call routing, endpoint configuration, integrations, and troubleshooting.

• Assist with audits, financial activities, transaction diligence, and other business requirements; some travel may be necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Profound expertise in Identity & Access Management (IAM), including OIDC and OAuth2 authentication protocols.

• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and later, along with Windows 11.

• Extensive administrative experience with Entra AD, Intune, Exchange, Defender, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, and Purview.

• Familiarity with telephony and VoIP systems, including Sangoma and RingCentral.

• Strong understanding of the ITIL/ITSM framework.

• Excellent problem-solving and technical troubleshooting abilities.

• Willingness to work additional hours as necessary.

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or a similar field.

• 8+ years of IT experience, ideally supporting remote environments, or 12 years of experience as a substitute for a degree.

• 5+ years of AWS experience.

• 3+ years of scripting experience.

• Foundational knowledge of AI.

• ITIL Change and Incident Management experience.
