This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Utilize contemporary engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to execute engineering tasks while providing support for various civil and structural design workflows on an as-needed basis.
• Collaborate closely with junior engineers, offering guidance and mentorship.
• Leverage advanced 2D modeling software such as HEC-RAS 2D, FLO-2D, and InfoWorks ICM to conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses.
• Perform sediment transport analyses and scour calculations to uphold the integrity and sustainability of renewable energy projects.
• Create comprehensive, accurate plans, specifications, and observation reports in line with established industry engineering practices.
• Engage technically in resolving design challenges which may involve conducting field investigations or observations and, when necessary, addressing discrepancies from various sources of information.
• Execute designs and review computations related to the stormwater management systems of renewable projects.
• Maintain a value engineering perspective throughout the development, design, and construction phases.
• Collaborate with business and engineering teams across diverse markets and technical disciplines.
• Partner with clients to comprehend their nuanced technical requirements and identify the most suitable solutions.
• Assist with marketing, sales, and business development initiatives within the designated market.
• Exhibit a broad range of innovative thinking, creativity, and ownership in design.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or an equivalent qualification is mandatory.
• Successful completion of the Civil Professional Engineer (PE) registration, along with an NCEES Council Record, is preferred.
• A minimum of 8-10+ years of civil engineering experience is required, including at least 3-5+ years focused on water resource design for renewable energy projects, which is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic principles and methodologies concerning rural and urban drainage systems.
• Experience with both erosion and sediment control applications, as well as temporary and permanent stormwater treatment techniques, is highly valued.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex hydrologic and hydraulic data effectively.
• Prior experience in conducting 2D sediment transport analyses and scour calculations in cohesive and non-cohesive soils is preferred.
• Proven proficiency in 2D modeling software such as HEC-RAS 2D, FLO-2D, and InfoWorks ICM, along with ArcGIS software, is required.
• Excellent communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
