Lead Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical designs for innovative features utilizing Domain-Driven Design (DDD) methodologies.

• Oversee and manage the technical roadmap, ensuring it aligns with business objectives.

• Create documentation for technical architectures, workflows, and processes for clarity and future reference.

• Engage in the codebase (up to 40% of the time) focusing on complex tasks, technical enablers, and Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to assess and integrate groundbreaking technologies.

• Conduct code reviews to maintain high standards of software coding quality.

• Collaborate to establish technical priorities and set the strategic direction for the Engineering team.

• Assist in recruitment efforts by interviewing candidates to identify prospective talent.

• Serve as a Technical Lead, mentoring and guiding Software Engineers in their technical development, fostering learning and skill enhancement within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years in a Software Development position, including at least 2 years as a Tech Lead or Architect.

• At least 3 years of experience in developing SaaS applications.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing service-based architectures in production settings.

• Previous experience in Online Payment, Payroll, or Invoicing domains.

• Experience with integrating third-party solutions into core business operations.
