This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Accountable for collaborating with leadership to define the technical trajectory of the program, gaining insights into people management.
• Offers guidance and professional development to members of the engineering team.
• Acts as a mentor, assisting team engineers with their technical direction and career progression.
• Directs team processes and proactively identifies best practices to address gaps.
• Cultivates collaboration skills to engage with key stakeholders in advocating for optimal technical solutions.
• Oversees hiring, performance evaluations, timecard assessments, PTO management, and team growth initiatives.
• A minimum of 9 years of pertinent engineering experience along with a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in place of a degree.
• At least 2 years of experience in mentoring and coaching; proficient in communicating and leading task efforts to facilitate delivery.
• Must satisfy federal suitability criteria and successfully complete a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Extensive expertise in software development, client interactions, both formal and informal communication, and mentorship.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, capable of conveying technical decisions to non-technical audiences, including federal agency stakeholders.
