Lead Embedded Firmware Engineer – Matter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Creating production-level firmware for devices enabled by Matter

• Taking ownership of firmware development throughout the entire device lifecycle

• Engaging in hardware debugging and validation processes

• Collaborating effectively with hardware engineers and cross-functional teams

• Troubleshooting intricate real-world interoperability challenges across Matter ecosystems

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of professional experience in embedded/firmware engineering using C/C++

• Extensive experience with ESP-IDF — not utilizing Arduino wrappers

• Proven track record of implementing Matter on ESP32-series silicon

• Practical experience with at least one Matter transport from the firmware perspective

• Proficient in debugging commissioning processes, interoperability failures, and protocol-level challenges

• Knowledge of secure boot, flash encryption, and device attestation within the Matter framework

• Comfortable using hardware debugging toolchains

• Experience in establishing CI/CD for firmware builds and automated testing frameworks

• Must be a resident of Mexico

• Must have the ability to work without sponsorship on a permanent basis
