Lead Electrical Distribution Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee all electrical engineering requirements for the Electrify America operations team.

• Collaborate directly with Electrify America equipment suppliers regarding electrical components.

• Provide specialized support for the field team and project architect in reviewing construction drawings.

• Partner with Electrify America's lab team for testing and documentation purposes.

• Design electrical sections for standard permitting sets related to construction projects.

• Support the creation and execution of National Design Standards.

• Manage relationships with construction management firms, contractors, and sub-contractors.

• Lead the evaluation of engineering and construction contracts.

• Offer essential technical insights for engineering and construction vendors.

• Oversee electrical design aspects of utility coordination and establish connections with electric utilities.

• Serve as a technical authority for executives.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in the field of Electrical Engineering.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training certification (preferred).

• Ability to understand and implement designs derived from technical drawings.

• Proficient in verbal and written communication when interacting with contractors and customers.

• Capability to create product documentation and maintain records.

• Experience in preparing cost estimates for customers and team members.

• Skilled in inspecting electrical components during and after installation.

• Strong project management abilities.

• Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
