This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Directs enterprise data governance, privacy, and risk management initiatives to guarantee compliant, secure, and responsible data usage across all business divisions, including Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid.
• Develops and implements governance frameworks, decision-making protocols, standards, and controls that enhance data quality, transparency, accountability, and the proper utilization of sensitive health information.
• Collaborates closely with Legal, Compliance, Security, Informatics, and business leaders to convert regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and enterprise policies into actionable governance processes and risk-based controls.
• Tasked with identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks associated with data sharing, access, lineage, downstream utilization, and third-party relationships, while facilitating audit-defensible decision-making and scalable governance practices that align with business goals and regulatory standards, including HIPAA, CMS mandates, and state privacy laws.
• Anticipated to lead the communication strategy across diverse audiences and organizational levels, driving outcomes through highly refined, structured program management practices.
• Over 10 years of experience in healthcare, data governance, privacy, risk management, or a related discipline.
• Extensive understanding of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, CMS requirements, and state privacy legislation.
• Proficient in data governance frameworks, data lineage, metadata management, and stewardship practices.
• Strong grasp of payer operations, encompassing claims, utilization management, risk adjustment, and STARS.
• Expertise in risk identification, evaluation, mitigation planning, control design, and reporting.
• Capability to translate legal and regulatory requirements into operational and technical procedures.
• Excellent stakeholder management, executive communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Ability to influence leadership and foster alignment across functions and throughout the organization.
• Experience in defining and implementing risk mitigation strategies and governance solutions.
• Proven track record of developing and executing audience-specific communication strategies across operational, management, and executive tiers of an organization.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing polished executive briefings, board materials, and governance communications that simplify complex topics and make them decision-ready.
• Strong program management capabilities, including experience in driving structured programs with clearly defined milestones, RACI accountability, risk management, and executive-level status reporting.
