Head of Risk, Fraud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement the Trust & Safety operating model from the ground up, including team structure, workflows, tooling, and a scalable roadmap.

• Reduce fraud losses and platform risk by establishing and monitoring the key metrics that make a significant impact.

• Convert marketplace threats into executive-level reports that secure budget and support.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to launch fraud detection, identity verification, and moderation tools that yield measurable outcomes rather than just features.

• Manage high-severity incident responses by connecting Legal, Engineering, and Operations to ensure investigations lead to policy and product changes.

• Assess and oversee vendor partnerships for fraud and identity tools, making decisions on whether to build or buy solutions.

• Establish policy frameworks with Legal to ensure they remain audit-ready and enforceable throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in Trust & Safety, Fraud Operations, or Risk Management.

• At least 5 years of experience in leadership roles, including managing other managers or senior individual contributors.

• Demonstrated history of building or scaling a Trust & Safety, fraud, or marketplace-integrity function, rather than merely managing an existing one.

• Proven capability to transform operational challenges into systematic solutions and influence cross-functional roadmaps.

• Experience in reporting metrics and results directly to executive stakeholders.

• A background in a high-growth marketplace, platform, or consumer internet enterprise.

• Professional fluency in English, with a minimum level of C1, both written and spoken.

• Preferred: Experience in peer-to-peer marketplaces, rental platforms, or fintech.
