Lead Developer – Financial Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, and enhancement of scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications utilizing Java as the primary technology.

• Engage with Spring Boot, microservices architecture, AWS, Kafka, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL within a financial services context.

• Offer hands-on technical guidance, mentor engineers, and support essential technical choices.

• Lead architectural strategies and establish development standards for robust and efficient solutions.

• Mentor team members, fostering technical growth, teamwork, and ongoing improvement.

• Develop and enhance event-driven architectures with an emphasis on scalability, performance, and reliability.

• Facilitate cloud-native deployments and modern engineering and DevOps methodologies.

• Collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders to convert strategic requirements into solid solutions.

• Contribute knowledge in Prompt Engineering to aid AI-driven initiatives and contemporary solution design.

• Maintain high standards of quality, security, and scalability for platforms vital to the financial industry.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Proficient in English (C1/C2) with the capacity to communicate effectively in an international setting.

• Extensive background in Java development.

• Demonstrated experience as a Dev Lead, Senior Java Developer, or Technical Lead in large-scale enterprise environments.

• Practical expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.

• Familiarity with AWS, Kafka, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL.

• Experience in designing and delivering high-performance, resilient, and secure enterprise solutions.

• Proven leadership in guiding technical teams and making architectural decisions.

• Understanding of complex distributed systems and DevOps methodologies.

• Advanced knowledge of Prompt Engineering is a plus for AI-driven initiatives.

• Strong leadership qualities, accountability, analytical abilities, and effective communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
