This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as a strategic thought partner for cross-functional teams, including PMs, engineers, marketing, and finance. You will comprehend the roadmaps and user needs, identifying discrepancies between data insights and team assumptions.
• Craft compelling narratives that inspire action among teams. You will present clear narratives and viewpoints to leadership and working teams, recognizing that an insightful observation that goes unacted upon is ultimately a missed opportunity.
• Determine causality by employing the appropriate tools for each situation, such as A/B testing, analytics, and causal inference. Collaborate with engineering to implement event instrumentation and partner with Product to convert insights into actionable steps.
• Develop and execute metrics strategies grounded in an understanding of user experiences with our product. This approach enables a thorough comprehension of our users and their motivations within a complex ecosystem that involves multi-user engagement and numerous interaction methods.
• Create explanations that build upon measurements, consistently anchoring your analyses in the understanding that users are individuals with unique motivations and contexts that data alone cannot fully capture.
• Leverage AI to enhance your impact. You will utilize coding agents and automated analyses on a daily basis while helping to shape our AI-driven analytics stack, contributing to our transition from reactive to proactive and ultimately autonomous operations.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in an analytics, data science, or decision science role within a consumer tech organization.
• An advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., economics, statistics, quantitative social science, operations research) or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience with causal inference methods in applied contexts, including but not limited to difference-in-differences, instrumental variables, regression discontinuity, synthetic controls, and propensity score matching.
• A strong history of influencing product or business strategy through data, with specific examples demonstrating cross-functional impact.
• Familiarity with experimentation platforms such as Statsig, Optimizely, or similar tools.
• Proficient in SQL and Python/R for conducting statistical analyses.
