Lead Data Scientist – Growth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Serve as a strategic collaborator with Product, Design, and Engineering from the inception of initiatives.

• Develop data infrastructure that integrates usage events, product analytics, go-to-market data, and financial information.

• Establish and measure leading indicators and key performance metrics for activation and expansion.

• Design and evaluate experiments throughout the funnel, including pre-test power analysis and hypothesis formulation.

• Create predictive models incrementally, even in the absence of a dedicated machine learning team.

• Perform in-depth analyses and identify actionable next steps for the team.

• Take ownership of insights and proactively communicate what strategies are effective and which are not.

• Develop and automate the reporting framework to aid interpretation and facilitate decision-making.

• Integrate AI into the team's processes to enhance capabilities.

• Report directly to the VP of Product Growth and be the inaugural dedicated data hire within the growth team.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a growth analytics position at a rapidly growing technology company.

• Proficient in event-level data pipelines.

• Understanding of effective data instrumentation techniques.

• Capability to design experiments accurately, including evaluating whether sample sizes yield reliable conclusions.

• Skill in conducting thorough analyses and identifying meaningful subsequent actions.

• Ability to construct predictive models without a dedicated machine learning team.

• Comfortable working in situations where data infrastructure is not yet established.

• Candidates must currently reside and work in Canada.

• Must be eligible to work in Canada without employer sponsorship.
