Lead Customer Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Management of proposals

• Conduct technical analysis of customer needs/RFQ to define and present products/services/solutions from the DS Agile / G500/ GPG/ AAA portfolio, Cyber Security, MiCOM, and Multilin product ranges.

• Ensure compliance of offers with technical specifications as per tender requirements

• Identify and flag key risks, and ensure the mitigation plan is documented in the Risk & Opportunity register

• Oversee and implement the Return of Experience (ROE)

• Ensure proposals align with commercial and execution strategies

• Maintain technical derogations and approvals as needed for finalizing technical solutions

• Ensure completion of site assessments (site visits/reviews) for Brownfield/Existing Substations and sites

• Maintain typical circuits/schemes/solutions in the Tendering Tool to facilitate future offerings

• Ensure adherence to technical and commercial offer timelines to support the sales force while maintaining high-quality bid standards

• Review and respond to technical clarifications regarding bids and present solutions to customers

• Assist in order booking as per signed contracts/POs, ensuring budget margins and enhancing the Operations turnover process

• Support the Sales team during commercial and technical meetings/negotiations with customers

• Ensure all phases of bid management comply with the company's policies and instructions

• Ensure bid management processes align with package offerings to customers

• Conduct various tender reviews internally with all stakeholders according to tender due dates

• Hold transfer meetings and provide relevant documents to the operations team

• Review and maintain the Tendering Hit Rate (submission percentage and win rate with quality bids)

• Responsible for the review and analysis of cost and price preparation and calculations

• Ensure formal quotes for third-party products/systems are obtained and updated in the Tendering tool in line with sourcing

• Responsible for ensuring accurate costing in the Estimation tool according to the latest updates

• Challenge product/solution and delivery costs in tenders

• Conduct commercial/technical win-loss analysis of bids

⛳️ Requirements

• B.S. Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in tendering, commercial, or engineering functions

• In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Grid Automation Business (Protection and DCS/SCS knowledge is essential)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

• Ability to reside in Istanbul, Kocaeli, or Pakistan

• Willingness to travel 10-15% internationally

• Knowledge of Telecom and M&D would be advantageous

• Familiarity with MENAT customer requirements and specifications

• Comfortable with hybrid working conditions

• Understanding of commercial contracting guidelines

• Proactive approach with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

• Proficiency in French, Arabic, or Turkish would be a plus
