Lead Controls Turbine Training Instructor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare for customer training sessions primarily in North America.

• Participate in all pre-training meetings with customers to confirm technical scope and training objectives.

• Gather technical data from customers to develop training materials, customize simulation software, and create workshops/labs for each customer engagement.

• Ensure all necessary training equipment, manuals, and tools are ready for each session.

• Support regional training coordinators with shipping documentation to ensure timely delivery to customer sites.

• Maintain responsibility for the condition of training equipment, including calibration, integrity, software licenses, and accessories.

• Organize and book travel arrangements, including itineraries, hotel accommodations, and rental cars for each project using the GE corporate card in a compliant manner.

• Aid coordinators in printing manuals (using pcard or otherwise) and collaborate with suppliers to expedite printing and resolve payment issues.

• Coordinate giveaways for customer students.

• Assist Regional Training Managers (RTMs) in coordinating facilities and ensuring training rooms are well-presented for hosting customers and internal events.

• Conduct customer training classes primarily in North America.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.

• Over 7 years of experience in Power Plant controls engineering, field services, and training.

• Excellent communication skills with a strong enthusiasm for training.

• Proficient in Cimplicity, ToolboxST, and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Exceptional organizational skills with the capability to manage conflicts and work under pressure.

• This role requires 50% travel to customer locations across North America, primarily the US.
