Lead Controls Turbine Training Instructor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Providing an exceptional technical training experience for our controls-upgrade clients.

• Tailoring training materials to align with customer goals and their targeted audience.

• Adapting simulation software for specific site applications, complemented by class workshops and practical labs.

• Engaging with customers, training coordinators, project managers, project engineers, and various other functions.

• Reporting to the global customer training leader to ensure high-quality training for CSS clients.

• Overseeing technical guidance for field services and mobilization during critical Customer Issue Resolution (CIR).

• Ensuring that all necessary training equipment, manuals, and tools are provided for each session.

• Adhering to customer and GE HSE policies while conducting training either onsite or at the GE facility.

• Promptly reporting risks associated with incomplete software, delayed shipments, and hazardous site conditions.

• Guiding junior team members on issues that fall outside of established instructions or parameters.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.

• Over 7 years of experience in Power Plant controls engineering, field services, and instructional roles.

• Excellent communication skills coupled with a strong enthusiasm for training.

• Proficiency in Cimplicity, ToolboxST, and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Advanced organizational capabilities with the aptitude to manage conflicts and pressure effectively.

• The role requires 50% travel to customer sites primarily within North America (mainly the US).
