This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Proactively oversee controls and instrumentation tasks on-site throughout the Installation, Commissioning, and Maintenance phases of upgrade projects or new installations, which includes supervising installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnostics for control systems such as Mark V, Mark Vi, Mark Vie, Cimplicity, and HMIs.
• Offer technical guidance and support to customers regarding Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) packaged products.
• Comprehend PLC ladder logic, including a fundamental understanding of navigating through ladder rungs while troubleshooting and tracing through software documentation.
• Execute modifications to control constants.
• Read and adjust software sequencing as necessary.
• Configure and modify the hardware/software related to Gas and Steam Turbine systems.
• Diagnose issues with existing Control Solutions hardware and software installations on-site.
• Organize field service jobs and collaborate with project/service managers.
• Provide training to customer personnel as required.
• Supervise cable installation, megger testing, and connections.
• Maintain precise timesheets and obtain customer signatures on timesheets prior to leaving the job site.
• Grasp T&C (Terms and Conditions) commitments.
• Deliver timely and accurate internal and external reports.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and attend technical meetings with customers.
• Guarantee that all on-site activities are conducted safely in accordance with company environmental, health, and safety (EHS) guidelines and procedures.
• Provide expert consultation on complex projects.
• Accurately and promptly input hours, expenses, and timesheets into internal systems.
• Engage in pre-outage and installation planning; potentially recommend and implement policies and procedures.
• Availability for frequent travel (i.e., over 75%), offshore work, and assignments in restricted countries.
• Willingness to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by field assignments.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience with GEV Controls systems such as Mark V, Mark Vi, Mark Vie, etc.
• Minimum of 5 years of field experience in the Oil & Gas and Power Plant industry.
• Strong understanding of rotating equipment control philosophy (Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Centrifugal Compressor, Reciprocating Compressor) and their auxiliaries.
• In-depth knowledge of unit control panels (UCP), motor control centers (MCC), direct current panels (DCP), distributed control systems (DCS), and firefighting system installation and commissioning.
• Proficient in field devices, instruments, and actuators (such as servo-valves, thermocouples, transmitters, etc.).
• Capability to utilize special tools including pressure pumps, multi-meters, frequency generators, oscilloscopes, and field generators.
• Ability to interpret and implement technical drawings (wiring diagrams, P&IDs, General Arrangement, etc.).
• Capacity to perform under pressure.
• Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally, and to work overtime.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic.
• Valid driver's license and passport (or the ability to obtain a passport).
• Strong computer skills, particularly with MS Office software.
