Lead Controls Engineer – Energy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee intricate system design, which encompasses I/O design, architecture, submittals, and testing documentation.

• Continuously enhance expertise through training, publications, and active participation in the industry.

• Offer technical leadership across various projects and teams.

• Assist in business development by preparing technical proposals and presentations.

• Work alongside project managers to guarantee timely, precise, and cost-efficient project delivery.

• Guide and mentor engineers, providing expert advice across technical, financial, and operational areas.

• Promote company design standards and quality through the Quality Management System (QMS).

• Engage proactively and professionally with clients.

• Comply with client-specific standards and procedures.

• Deliver prompt problem-solving support.

• Manage and execute project tasks within the established schedule and budget.

• Lead complete project lifecycles when designated.

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects.

• Recognize scope changes and new business opportunities.

• Effectively delegate tasks and ensure accountability within the team.

• Provide accurate timeline estimations and manage project risks efficiently.

• Cultivate a collaborative and positive team environment.

• Direct and support junior staff in construction, operations, and maintenance activities as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with relevant experience.

• Minimum of 10 years of overall experience.

• At least 3 years as a Control Systems Project Engineer II (or equivalent role).

• Professional Engineering (PE) license and/or relevant industry certifications are preferred.

• Exceptional leadership and decision-making skills.

• Ability to perform effectively under pressure.

• Strong mindset for innovation and process improvement.

• Demonstrated ability to inspire and mentor engineers.

• Excellent relationship-building skills within the industry.

• Dedication to ongoing professional development.

• Up to 50% overnight travel may be necessary.

• Participation in on-call rotation as required.

• A valid driver's license is mandatory.

• Must be fit for duty at all times.
