Lead Controls Engineer – Energy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee intricate system design, which includes I/O design, architecture, submittals, and documentation for testing.

• Continuously enhance expertise through training, publications, and active involvement in the industry.

• Offer technical guidance across various projects and teams.

• Assist in business development by creating technical proposals and delivering presentations.

• Work closely with project managers to guarantee timely, precise, and cost-effective project delivery.

• Mentor engineers, providing expert advice across technical, financial, and operational areas.

• Promote company design standards and quality through the Quality Management System (QMS).

• Engage proactively and professionally with clients.

• Comply with client-specific standards and procedures.

• Deliver outstanding service and uphold commitments.

• Provide timely problem-solving assistance.

• Manage and supervise project tasks to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.

• Lead complete project lifecycles when designated.

• Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding assigned projects.

• Recognize changes in scope and potential new business opportunities.

• Effectively delegate tasks and ensure accountability within the team.

• Accurately forecast timelines and manage project-related risks.

• Cultivate a collaborative and positive team environment.

• Guide and assist junior staff in construction, operations, and maintenance activities as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with pertinent experience.

• Over 10 years of overall experience.

• At least 3 years of experience as a Control Engineer III (or similar role).

• Professional Engineering (PE) license and/or relevant industry certifications are preferred.

• Advanced capabilities in leadership and decision-making.

• Ability to maintain effectiveness under pressure.

• Strong mindset for innovation and process enhancement.

• Proven track record of motivating and mentoring engineers.

• Excellent skills in building relationships within the industry.

• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

• Active involvement in industry organizations.

• Willingness to travel overnight up to 50% of the time may be necessary.

• Availability for on-call rotation as required.

• A valid driver's license is mandatory.

• Must consistently be fit for duty.

• Authorization to work in the country where employment is based is required.
