Lead Controls Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design of intricate control systems, which includes I/O design, architecture, submittals, and testing documentation.

• Enhance and broaden technical knowledge through ongoing training, publications, and engagement within the industry.

• Offer technical guidance across various projects and teams.

• Assist in business development by preparing technical proposals and delivering presentations.

• Work alongside project managers to ensure projects are delivered in a timely, precise, and cost-efficient manner.

• Mentor engineers, providing expert advice across technical, financial, and operational aspects.

• Promote company design standards and quality through the Quality Management System (QMS).

• Engage proactively and professionally with clients.

• Comply with client-specific standards and procedures.

• Deliver responsive solutions to problems as they arise.

• Manage and execute project tasks within the established schedule and budget.

• Lead complete project lifecycles when designated.

• Act as the main point of contact for clients on assigned projects.

• Recognize scope changes and identify new business opportunities.

• Effectively delegate tasks and ensure accountability within the team.

• Estimate project timelines and manage associated risks.

• Cultivate a positive and collaborative team environment.

• Guide and support junior staff in construction, operations, and maintenance activities as applicable.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with pertinent experience.

• Over 10 years of total experience.

• At least 3 years as a Control Systems Project Engineer II or in a comparable role.

• Professional Engineering (PE) license and/or relevant industry certifications are preferred.

• Advanced leadership and decision-making skills.

• Ability to maintain effectiveness under pressure.

• Strong inclination towards innovation and process improvement.

• Demonstrated capability to inspire and mentor engineers.

• Excellent relationship-building abilities within the industry.

• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.

• Active involvement in industry organizations.

• Willingness to travel overnight up to 50% as needed.

• Participation in an on-call rotation may be required.

• A valid driver's license is necessary.

• Must be fit for duty at all times.

• Authorization to work in the country of employment is required.
