Lead Controls Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design of intricate control systems, encompassing I/O design, architecture, submittals, and testing documentation.

• Enhance and broaden technical expertise through ongoing training, publications, and engagement within the industry.

• Offer technical guidance across various projects and teams.

• Assist in business development through the creation of technical proposals and presentations.

• Work closely with project managers to guarantee timely, precise, and cost-effective project delivery.

• Mentor engineers while providing expert guidance in technical, financial, and operational areas.

• Propel company design standards and quality through the Quality Management System (QMS).

• Proactively communicate with clients and comply with client-specific standards and procedures.

• Deliver prompt problem-solving support.

• Execute and supervise project tasks to ensure they remain on schedule and within budget.

• Lead complete project lifecycles when assigned.

• Act as the primary point of contact for customers on assigned projects.

• Identify changes in scope and explore new business opportunities.

• Assign tasks and ensure accountability within the team.

• Estimate project timelines and manage associated risks.

• Cultivate a collaborative team culture.

• Guide and support junior staff in construction, operations, and maintenance activities as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with pertinent experience.

• A minimum of 10 years of total work experience.

• At least 3 years in the role of Control Systems Project Engineer II or an equivalent position.

• Professional Engineering (PE) license and/or relevant industry certifications are preferred.

• Advanced skills in leadership and decision-making.

• Capability to maintain effectiveness under pressure.

• Strong focus on innovation and process improvement.

• Demonstrated ability to inspire and mentor engineers.

• Excellent relationship-building skills within the industry.

• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

• Active involvement in industry organizations.

• Availability for up to 50% overnight travel may be required.

• Participation in on-call rotation as necessary.

• A valid driver’s license is required.

• Must be fit for duty at all times.

• Authorization to work in the country of employment is mandatory.
