Lead Controls Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee intricate system design tasks, including I/O design, architecture, submittals, and testing documentation.

• Continuously enhance expertise through training, publications, and engagement in industry activities.

• Deliver technical guidance across various projects and teams.

• Assist in business development by creating technical proposals and delivering presentations.

• Partner with project managers to ensure projects are delivered on time, accurately, and within budget.

• Mentor engineers while providing expert advice in technical, financial, and operational areas.

• Promote company design standards and quality through the Quality Management System (QMS).

• Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients.

• Follow client-specific standards and procedures diligently.

• Offer responsive support for problem-solving.

• Manage and oversee project tasks to ensure they are completed on schedule and within budget constraints.

• Lead complete project lifecycles when assigned.

• Act as the main point of contact for clients on assigned projects.

• Recognize scope changes and identify new business prospects.

• Effectively delegate tasks while ensuring team accountability.

• Precisely estimate timelines and manage project-related risks.

• Cultivate a collaborative and positive team environment.

• Guide and support junior staff in construction, operations, and maintenance activities as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with applicable experience.

• A minimum of 10 years of overall experience.

• At least 3 years as a Control Systems Project Engineer II (or equivalent position).

• A Professional Engineering (PE) license and/or relevant industry certifications are preferred.

• Advanced capabilities in leadership and decision-making.

• Ability to maintain effectiveness under pressure.

• A strong mindset for innovation and process enhancement.

• Proven capability to motivate and mentor engineers.

• Excellent relationship-building skills within the industry.

• Dedication to ongoing professional development.

• Active involvement in industry organizations.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% overnight as required.

• Participation in on-call rotation as necessary.

• A valid driver’s license is required.

• Must be fit for duty at all times.

• Authorization to work in the country of employment is mandatory.
