Lead Controls Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee intricate control system design, which includes I/O design, architecture, documentation for submittals, and testing.

• Enhance and broaden technical knowledge through training, publications, and engagement with the industry.

• Offer technical guidance across various projects and teams.

• Assist in business development efforts by creating technical proposals and delivering presentations.

• Partner with project managers to ensure projects are delivered accurately, on time, and within budget.

• Mentor engineers while providing expert advice in technical, financial, and operational areas.

• Promote company design standards and quality through the Quality Management System (QMS).

• Engage proactively and professionally with clients.

• Comply with client-specific standards and procedures.

• Deliver prompt problem-solving support.

• Implement and oversee project tasks, ensuring they remain on schedule and within budget.

• Lead complete project lifecycles when designated.

• Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding assigned projects.

• Recognize scope changes and new business opportunities.

• Effectively delegate tasks and ensure accountability within the team.

• Estimate project timelines and manage associated risks.

• Cultivate a collaborative and positive team environment.

• Direct and assist junior personnel in construction, operations, and maintenance activities where applicable.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with applicable experience.

• Over 10 years of total experience.

• At least 3 years as a Control Systems Project Engineer II (or equivalent position).

• Professional Engineering (PE) license and/or relevant industry certifications are preferred.

• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.

• Capability to remain effective under pressure.

• A strong mindset for innovation and process improvement.

• Demonstrated ability to inspire and mentor engineers.

• Excellent relationship-building skills within the industry.

• Dedication to ongoing professional development.

• Active involvement in industry organizations.

• Willingness to travel overnight up to 50% of the time may be necessary.

• Participation in an on-call rotation as required.

• Possession of a valid driver's license is mandatory.

• Must be fit for duty at all times.

• Authorization to work in the country of employment is required.
