Lead Controls Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Lead intricate system design, encompassing I/O design, architecture, submittals, and documentation for testing.

• Continuously enhance expertise through training, publications, and active involvement in the industry.

• Provide technical guidance across various projects and teams.

• Assist in business development by crafting technical proposals and presentations.

• Work closely with project managers to ensure timely, precise, and cost-efficient delivery.

• Mentor engineers, offering expert advice in technical, financial, and operational areas.

• Drive the company's design standards and quality through the Quality Management System (QMS).

• Communicate proactively and professionally with clients.

• Comply with client-specific standards and procedures.

• Deliver outstanding service and offer prompt problem-solving assistance.

• Execute and supervise project tasks while adhering to schedules and budgets.

• Lead complete project lifecycles when assigned.

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects.

• Recognize scope changes and identify new business opportunities.

• Effectively delegate tasks and ensure accountability within the team.

• Accurately estimate timelines and manage project risks.

• Promote a collaborative and positive team environment.

• Direct and support junior staff in construction, operations, and maintenance activities as applicable.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with pertinent experience.

• Over 10 years of overall experience.

• At least 3 years as a Control Systems Project Engineer II (or similar role).

• Preferred: Professional Engineering (PE) license and/or relevant industry certifications.

• Advanced leadership and decision-making abilities.

• Capability to maintain effectiveness under pressure.

• Strong focus on innovation and process enhancement.

• Proven track record of motivating and mentoring engineers.

• Excellent relationship-building skills within the industry.

• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

• Active involvement in industry organizations.

• Willingness to travel overnight up to 50% of the time may be necessary.

• Participation in on-call rotation as needed.

• Valid driver's license is required.

• Must be fit for duty at all times.

• Authorization to work in the country of employment is mandatory.
