Lead Controls Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee intricate control system design, encompassing I/O design, architecture, documentation for submittals, and testing.

• Enhance and broaden technical knowledge through training, publications, and engagement in the industry.

• Offer technical guidance across various projects and teams.

• Assist in business development by creating technical proposals and delivering presentations.

• Work alongside project managers to ensure the timely, accurate, and cost-efficient completion of projects.

• Mentor engineers and provide expert advice in technical, financial, and operational areas.

• Promote company design standards and quality through the Quality Management System (QMS).

• Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients.

• Comply with client-specific standards and procedures.

• Deliver responsive support for problem-solving.

• Implement and supervise project tasks within budget and on schedule.

• Lead complete project lifecycles when designated.

• Act as the main point of contact for clients on assigned projects.

• Recognize changes in scope and new business prospects.

• Delegate tasks efficiently and ensure accountability within the team.

• Accurately estimate timelines and manage project risks.

• Cultivate a collaborative and positive team environment.

• Guide and support junior staff in construction, operations, and maintenance activities as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with pertinent experience.

• Minimum of 10 years of overall experience.

• At least 3 years in a role as a Control Systems Project Engineer II (or equivalent).

• Professional Engineering (PE) license and/or relevant industry certifications are preferred.

• Advanced leadership and decision-making skills.

• Ability to maintain effectiveness under pressure.

• Strong focus on innovation and process improvement.

• Demonstrated capability to motivate and mentor engineering professionals.

• Solid relationship-building skills within the industry.

• Dedication to ongoing professional development.

• Active involvement in industry organizations.

• Willingness to travel overnight up to 50% of the time as required.

• Participation in on-call rotation as necessary.

• Valid driver’s license is mandatory.

• Must always be fit for duty.

• Authorization to work in the country of employment is required.
