Lead Consultant – Power BI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Facilitate customer discovery sessions to identify reporting needs.

• Collaborate with customers on Power BI Licensing, understanding the benefits and limitations of each licensing type.

• Design high-performing star schema data models for Power BI, incorporating the appropriate calculated columns and measures.

• Develop Power BI solutions for clients, which includes data importation from various sources, creating reports and dashboards, and generating suitable data elements using DAX and source queries.

• Advise customers on deploying Power BI solutions to the Power BI service, covering aspects such as Gateways, DirectQuery, DataFlows, and Data Updates.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 7 years of experience with data and business intelligence solutions within the Microsoft Business Intelligence tool stack (SSRS, Power BI, PowerPivot (Excel), or PerformancePoint), or with other vendor Business Intelligence tools (Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Qlik, SAP).

• 3 to 4 years of experience in team management.

• Proficient in TSQL, data modeling, and reporting with Power BI or other Microsoft tools.

• Experience in creating comprehensive Power BI report solutions that address business inquiries with linked content, drilldowns, and nested parameters.

• Skilled in dynamic measure designs using advanced DAX techniques.

• Familiarity with data mashups and transformations utilizing Power Query/M language.

• Experience using the Databricks platform to develop, implement, and optimize data pipelines and workflows.

• Capability to articulate visual choices and interactions effectively.

• Design, develop, and implement user interfaces to ensure user-friendliness and minimal required knowledge for the functional workgroup utilizing the database.

• Competence in gathering requirements and conducting focus groups to identify necessary processes for business enhancement.
