This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with senior leadership, People Partners, and managers to deliver clear, data-informed guidance on compensation strategy, market positioning, program effectiveness, and intricate pay decisions.
• Take ownership of the planning and execution of bi-annual compensation cycles for staff, encompassing market analysis, budget modeling, manager guidance, calibration, executive recommendations, communications, and follow-through.
• Direct executive compensation and equity analysis, transforming market data, company performance, internal equity, retention considerations, and governance requirements into succinct recommendations.
• Spearhead quarterly Compensation Committee preparation and execution, including analysis, decision materials, stakeholder alignment, equity recommendations, and follow-through.
• Develop and uphold principles, decision frameworks, and governance for offers, equity grants, promotions, retention actions, and other precedent-setting compensation decisions.
• Advise and challenge People Partners, Talent Acquisition, and hiring managers on compensation decisions, assisting them in navigating trade-offs and consistently applying Lattice’s compensation philosophy.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and People Operations to enhance the systems, processes, controls, and operating rhythms that underpin our compensation programs.
• Utilize AI and automation to refine compensation workflows, reporting, and analysis, minimizing manual tasks, boosting accuracy, and scaling the function.
• Act as a trusted advisor to Product, Engineering, and Design, offering practitioner expertise and customer insights into the development of Lattice’s compensation product.
• Lead cash and equity modeling, benchmarking, and reporting to guide compensation strategy, workforce planning, pay equity, and retention decisions.
• Integrate compensation with performance, development, DEIB, and people analytics to identify risks, enhance outcomes, and fortify Lattice’s broader talent strategy.
• Ensure robust governance over compensation data, structures, processes, and documentation to maintain consistency, auditability, and operational excellence.
• 8–10+ years of progressive compensation experience, with ownership of complex programs in a dynamic or high-growth setting.
• Extensive expertise in broad-based and executive compensation, equity strategy, market benchmarking, job architecture, and compensation modeling.
• Experience in supporting Compensation Committee or board-level processes and crafting clear, decision-ready recommendations.
• Strong business acumen and judgment, capable of navigating ambiguity, articulating trade-offs, challenging assumptions, and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Experience in establishing compensation principles, governance, and decision frameworks that enhance consistency and scalability.
• Advanced analytical capabilities and proficiency with modern analytics and AI-enabled tools, with the capacity to convert complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent executive communication and cross-functional partnership abilities across People, Finance, Legal, Recruiting, and business leadership.
• Comfortable functioning as the sole compensation leader, managing both strategy and execution while juggling multiple high-stakes priorities.
• Experience in a rapidly growing SaaS organization, incentive compensation, or compensation product development is a plus.
