This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Leadership of team members. Guide and mentor a group of 3–5 communication designers: establish priorities, provide constructive and clear feedback, and foster individual skill development.
• Design guidance. Establish and refine the visual communication standards for marketing, creating scalable design systems and templates for the team to utilize.
• Cross-departmental collaboration. Facilitate collaboration across Product, Growth, Brand, Marketing, and Engineering — synchronize priorities, advocate for design perspectives in strategic discussions, and ensure seamless delivery among teams.
• Leadership in AI tool adoption. Spearhead the implementation of AI-driven design tools within the team: select appropriate tools, develop workflows, conduct onboarding, and set benchmarks for responsible and effective AI-enhanced production.
• Process enhancement. Develop and continuously refine design processes within the team — from briefing and review procedures to production standards and handoffs — improving efficiency, clarity, and consistency.
• Campaign management. Oversee campaign design from start to finish across digital platforms (social media, email, paid advertising) and offline mediums (out-of-home, print), ensuring visual consistency at every touchpoint.
• Web and mobile design ownership. Manage communication design for all web and mobile interfaces — including landing pages, web banners, app store visuals, and responsive emails — in close partnership with Product and Engineering teams.
• Product communication collaboration. Work alongside Growth and Product teams on onboarding flows, push notifications, in-app messaging, and other product communication elements — converting product value into engaging, clear visuals.
• Brand engagement. Actively participate in Brand team initiatives — contribute to brand identity projects, visual guidelines, and cross-functional collaborations where communication design intersects with branding.
• Quality assurance. Take responsibility for the QA process of outgoing materials — ensuring brand consistency across a high volume of outputs.
• Over 5 years of experience in communication design, with a minimum of 1–2 years in a leadership or senior capacity.
• Demonstrated experience in managing designers and providing actionable, specific feedback.
• Experience in IT product companies — familiarity with how design operates within agile product teams and in conjunction with engineering.
• A compelling portfolio showcasing campaign work across both digital and offline channels — preferably within fintech, banking, or another IT product sector.
• Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, typography, and layout — the capability to create clear communications in complex, compliance-focused environments.
• Practical experience in designing for web and mobile: responsive layouts, web banners, app store assets, and mobile-first communications.
• Clear and direct communicator — capable of translating strategies into concise briefs while constructively pushing back when necessary.
• Hands-on experience with AI design tools (e.g., Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Runway, or similar) and a genuine interest in optimizing team workflows through these tools.
• Proficiency in Figma; familiarity with motion and video production workflows is advantageous.
• Knowledge of 3D production — experience with 3D visuals for marketing communications, whether through hands-on work (Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar) or in a creative direction role with 3D designers.
