This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Supervise and implement technical, construction, and commissioning tasks at customer locations.
• Guarantee a safe, prompt, and high-quality delivery from site mobilization to final handover.
• Coordinate civil engineering efforts, erection processes, and system commissioning.
• Foster and maintain a safety-focused culture on-site while adhering to GE Vernova EHS standards.
• Lead the testing and commissioning of substation equipment within established timelines, budget constraints, and approved quality protocols.
• Oversee and manage daily commissioning resources, including work allocation, coordination, and productivity.
• Prepare, issue, and maintain necessary site documentation, such as RAMS, NCRs, and TQs.
• Serve as the LV Authorised Person (Advanced) under GE Low Voltage Safe Systems of Work procedures.
• Address commissioning challenges, assist with minor upgrades, and liaise with Site Managers and Project Engineers.
• Plan and conduct commissioning activities in alignment with agreed-upon schedules.
• Interact with customers and lead multidisciplinary site execution efforts.
• Bachelor's degree or HND in Electrical Engineering (or a related field).
• Strong foundation in power systems and protection principles.
• Significant technical experience with HV substation protection relays, SCADA systems, IEC 61850 protocols, and commissioning of HV/LV switchgear.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot protection schemes utilizing Omicron, Programma, and Megger.
• Excellent analytical and diagnostic capabilities.
• Proficient in computer use and comfortable with digital tools, documentation systems, and testing software.
• Practical knowledge of construction and field service operations.
• Experience ideally acquired in high-voltage transmission or grid-integration projects.
• Familiarity with the North & South Europe Grid System Integration environment or comparable turnkey HV project settings.
• Experience in supporting AC and DC transmission solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and site personnel.
• Willingness to travel extensively for projects and field assignments.
• Availability to work overtime as necessary for field assignments.
