This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the main resource for urgent CDI challenges, such as payer denials, audits, and DRG validation.
• Tackle immediate system requirements, including high denial rates, quality concerns, and new coding regulations.
• Guide front-line CDSs on complex cases, query formulation, and escalation processes.
• Examine documentation and coding data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Lead and ensure adherence to strategic CDI initiatives across various markets and systems.
• Assess strategic outcomes and suggest pathways for implementation.
• Facilitate strategic initiatives, rapid-cycle audits, real-time investigations of documentation and coding discrepancies, training, compliance, and data-driven decision-making.
• CCDS Certification is mandatory.
• Clinical Documentation Professional credential from the Association of Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists must be obtained prior to the hire date or job transfer date.
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of relevant cumulative job-specific experience.
• Experience in a leadership role.
• Background in Project Management.
• 2 years of leadership or management experience is preferred.
