This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Provides assistance in training, promotes team cohesion, and may serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Career Navigator functions.
• Continues to operate as Career Navigator with designated lead responsibilities, which include detailed case management, authorizing and coordinating support services, meticulously tracking obligations for participant reimbursement funds, outreach, and follow-up.
• Conduct meetings with participants to identify challenges to employment and formulate strategies to address these issues.
• Manage a caseload while ensuring complete, accurate, and timely case notes and related records are maintained in both manual and/or electronic systems, as well as monitor and document job seeker participation in required activities.
• Maintain consistent communication with the caseload and act as a liaison between customers and service providers.
• Dispatch correspondence to arrange appointments, request employment verifications, and obtain pay stubs when necessary.
• Authorize, distribute, and reconcile reimbursements for participants.
• Ensure accurate documentation of case files and electronic records.
• Attend selected leadership and team meetings and collaborative sessions as required.
• Precisely record eligibility, enrollment, assessments, services, and placement information within tracking systems.
• Safeguard the confidentiality of job seeker information and ensure the protection of equipment and property.
• Provide support to the team as needed with data entry, case management, quick hires, or other operational areas.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Associate’s degree in a related field and at least 2 years of experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities (strong verbal skills, attentive listening, articulate, culturally sensitive, and proficient written communication).
• Proven experience in managing workloads and being accountable; able to plan and organize tasks to produce timely and accurate work outputs.
• Demonstrated analytical skills, including the use of logic and reasoning to evaluate information, draw logical conclusions, assess options, and make decisions or recommendations.
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to employment and training programs, along with a general understanding of workforce one-stop and partner programs and services.
• Knowledge of characteristics associated with unemployed, dislocated, and disadvantaged populations.
• Strong writing capabilities, including experience in report writing.
• Proven ability to work independently while fostering collaboration.
• A current valid driver’s license (with a low-risk driver rating) and automobile liability insurance are required.
• Mileage and travel reimbursement available.
