Lead Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Defines and leads enterprise-level digital solutions by creating comprehensive end-to-end architectures.

• Guides engineering teams throughout the implementation process.

• Shapes the overall technical strategy within the organization.

• Architect end-to-end solutions that balance functional, non-functional (scalability, security, resilience, performance), and maintainability requirements.

• Direct architectural decisions across various teams.

• Develop architectural maturity models and strategic roadmaps.

• Define integration strategies across platforms and third-party systems.

• Establish engineering quality standards through review frameworks.

• Maintain architectural documentation while providing mentorship to engineers.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and UX to convert business objectives into technical roadmaps.

• Lead responses to production incidents.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in large-scale software development.

• More than 3 years in solution architecture or technical leadership roles.

• Strong expertise in Java, with architectural experience in Spring, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.

• At least 5 years of experience working with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Engineering, UX).

• Profound knowledge of OOP, design patterns, distributed systems, concurrency control, and parallelism.

• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, or AWS).

• Expertise in architectural decision-making.

• Familiarity with AI assistant tools such as Claude, Codex, Cursor, etc.

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (high school diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience).
