This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Oversee the complete delivery process of AI products, platforms, and enterprise-scale solutions, from development to production deployment.
• Create and implement an AI Factory model that facilitates rapid experimentation, scalable execution, and ongoing enhancements.
• Manage execution across various AI projects while balancing innovation, governance, quality, risk, and business value.
• Cultivate relationships across technology, operations, product, analytics, and business teams.
• Advocate for best practices in AI engineering, MLOps, responsible AI, testing, deployment, and performance monitoring.
• Lead cross-functional teams to address business challenges through automation, machine learning, generative AI, intelligent workflows, and advanced analytics.
• Identify and eliminate obstacles to delivery.
• Promote agility, innovation, accountability, and a culture of continuous learning.
• Collaborate with AI transformation principals, product leaders, engineers, architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders.
• Develop scalable AI capabilities that enhance customer and employee experiences across Humana's Finance enterprise.
• 7+ years of experience in leading technology initiatives, products, or transformation programs.
• 2 years of experience managing AI engineering teams.
• Proven experience in building and deploying AI agents utilizing LLMs, reasoning loops, and tool integrations.
• Experience in developing GenAI applications with Vertex AI, including Model Garden, Vector Search, Agents, and Pipelines.
• Familiarity with implementing RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector stores, and multimodal AI workflows.
• Experience in constructing scalable AI microservices on GCP, including Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery.
• Background in Agentic AI system design and development.
• Experience collaborating with MLOps and DevOps teams.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data analysis/data mining tools.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Experience with large-scale ETL processes.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure or GCP.
• Experience with DevOps pipelines.
• Preferred: experience in leading AI, digital transformation, automation, or machine learning projects within healthcare.
• Strong understanding of operations, technology platforms, organizational change management, communications, and business processes.
• Ability to work from a designated area without interruptions to safeguard member PHI/HIPAA information.
• Home internet connection with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps; wireless, wired cable, or DSL connection is recommended.
