Law and Motion Attorney – Employment Law

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Draft and respond to various motions, such as demurrers, motions to strike, discovery motions, and motions for summary judgment/adjudication.

• Prepare oppositions and reply briefs in litigation matters.

• Draft complaints and amended pleadings related to labor and employment cases.

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis concerning California employment law issues.

• Create internal memoranda addressing litigation strategy and legal considerations.

• Ensure all submissions adhere to California procedural rules and court requirements.

• Collaborate with litigation attorneys to enhance case strategy through effective written advocacy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

• Active member of the California State Bar in good standing.

• 1 - 4 years of experience in practicing employment law.

• Significant experience in handling law and motion practice within California employment matters.

• Outstanding legal writing, research, and analytical skills.

• Capability to manage assignments autonomously and meet deadlines in a remote work setting.

• Proven ability to manage a caseload independently while adhering to deadlines.

• Strong negotiation and advocacy capabilities.

• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
